Book a 30-minute session

Try a few rounds. In for four, out for six. Stop whenever you like.

What a session looks like

We use guided breathing to help your body settle, and you set the pace. Coaching supports your healing alongside counseling, advocacy, or medical care, not in place of them.

One on one
Private time at your own pace. A good place to start if you’d rather not share the space with others yet.
Small groups
Breathe alongside a few other people. Practicing together can make the work feel less lonely.
Thirty minutes
Short enough to fit into a full week, long enough to settle into the practice.
Simple pricing
One on one sessions are $15 each. Small group sessions are $10 each, or $50 for a package of 6.

Before you book

A few things people often want to know first. If yours isn’t here, email me and ask.

Where do sessions happen?

Sessions are online by video, so you can join from wherever you feel most comfortable.

Do I have to talk about what happened?

Sessions are about the breath, and you set the pace. You decide how much, if anything, you want to share, and you can pause or skip any practice at any time.

What if a practice feels like too much?

That’s okay, and it’s useful information. Open your eyes, look around the room, and return to your natural breath. We start with just a few minutes at a time, and you can always stop.

One on one or a small group?

One on one sessions ($15) are private, and a good place to start if you’d rather not share the space with others yet. Small group sessions ($10, or $50 for a package of 6) let you breathe alongside a few other people, which can make the work feel less lonely.

What if I need to cancel?

Please cancel as early as you can. If you cancel a one on one session late, you will receive a 50% refund.

Is this therapy?

No. Breathe Forward is coaching, not therapy, medical treatment, legal advice, or a crisis service. It is meant to support your healing alongside counseling, advocacy, or medical care, not in place of them. If you need support right now, see the numbers below.

How can I book safely?

If someone else may see your email, texts, or calendar, book with an email address and phone number that only you can access. Our privacy page explains what this website does and doesn’t keep, and the Quick exit button is always on the screen if you need to leave quickly.

What we practice

After trauma, the body can stay on alert, with shallow breathing or a habit of holding the breath. A slow, steady breath gives your nervous system a different signal, and a long exhale is one of the simplest ways to help the body settle.

Sessions draw on a few well-known practices, introduced gradually and at your pace. You choose what to try, and you can pause or skip anything at any time.

Box breathing
A steady, even rhythm that gives the mind something simple to follow when things feel fast or overwhelming. In 4, hold 4, out 4, hold 4
4-7-8 breathing
A slow pattern with a long exhale, often used to wind down in the evening or when anxiety is running high. In 4, hold 7, out 8
Coherent breathing
An even, unhurried rhythm, about six breaths a minute, that many people find steadying when emotions rise and fall. In 5, out 5
Somatic breathwork
A flowing, circular style of breathing with no pause between the in-breath and the out-breath, explored with guidance and only at a pace that feels right. Continuous, with no pauses

Practiced with care

Small doses

Focusing on the breath can bring up strong feelings for some people. We start with just two to three minutes at a time and build slowly.

Staying within your window

The aim is to feel grounded. If a practice leaves you feeling wound up or checked out, open your eyes, look around the room, and return to your natural breath. You can always stop.

Hi, I’m Staci.

I’m a survivor myself, and I coach other survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence through my own lived experience.

I know that learning to take that first breath of steadiness can be hard. But I am here, and I understand.

Breathe Forward is where I offer that work: gentle, guided, and never rushed.
